Shelton Wayne Williams, 69, of Loris passed away at McLeod Loris Hospital on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 following a sudden illness. He was born in Horry County on October 13, 1951, the son of the late Donald Williams and the late Willie Mae Causey Williams.

An avid hunter, Shelton lived to hunt and hunted to live. He enjoyed spending time with his family whether it was hunting, cooking what they brought home from the hunt, attending church, or just being together. Shelton spent forty years working in the construction business with Dan Ford Construction. He was a handyman for everybody with the reputation if you need something done, ask Shelton. He was a member of and loved attending Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church. He was a loving "Pop" to his precious grandchildren.

Shelton is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Spivey Williams; two sons, Mike Ray and his wife, Jessica and Cain Williams, and his wife, Kyla, all of Loris; a daughter, Amy Michele Williams of Loris; a brother, Ernie Williams of Thomasville, North Carolina; two sisters, Sherrian Ward of Nichols and Louise Small of Lexington, and his beloved grandchildren, Jessie Danielle Ray, Danny Michael Ray, Jr., and Briggs McCain Williams.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2021 in the sanctuary of Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 1 ^st at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with Reverend Perry Jones officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
