Thedford "Ted" G. Mainer, Jr. 63, of Mullins and formerly of Little River, SC gained his eternal wings with his loving wife by his side on Friday, August 28, 2020 following a sudden illness. Born April 14, 1957 in Concord, NC, he was a son of the late Thedford "Glenn" Mainer, Sr. and Daisy Barbee Mainer.

Ted spent 35 years as a Construction Superintendent throughout the Southeastern coastal area. His work stands today in schools, grocery stores, commercial buildings, and large developments like the Coastal Grande Mall in Myrtle Beach SC. Ted was a kind-hearted loving man. He loved being outside, was an avid griller and especially loved being on the beach. A true sports fan, he followed Nascar, and cheered for the NC Tarheels basketball team and SC Gamecocks football team. Ted loved people and always shared time and meals with neighbors, friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Kim English Mainer of Mullins; his brothers Darrell Mainer and Kenny Mainer of Harrisburg, NC., brothers-in-law, Mike (Teresa) English of Beaufort, SC and Stuart English of Mullins, SC. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephew. He will greatly be missed by them: Lauren Mainer Ward, Autumn Mainer Durham, Hannah Mainer, Danae English and Kasey English; nephew Jordan (Sarah) Mainer and great nephew Jordan Mainer, Jr. Ted had a truly special connection with animals and is missed by his beloved pets Daisy, Lapper, Gray Boy and Baby.

A memorial service is planned for a later date in Little River, SC.
