Obituary

On March 28 th , Terry Lynn Lasyone, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by his family, at 63 years young following an accident. Terry was born in Beaumont, Texas, and graduated from Jersey Village High School near Houston, TX.  After working for UPS for many years, he decided to pursue his lifelong goal of coaching and teaching.  He earned a bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Mississippi in Special Education and a master's in school administration from Arkansas State University.  He spent 20 years in the classroom, as well as on the football and baseball fields.  He retired from education and coaching at Lake View High School.  His passion for coaching high school football was very apparent on the field and he helped lead his team to the state championship game in 2020.

When you visited Terry at his home, it was easy to see his passion.  He had a room full of memories.  He always loved talking about football, especially with his brothers, nephews, family, and friends.

Terry met the love of his life, Kimberli (Kim) in 1990 at a good friend's wedding.  They married in 1991 and loved their fur babies.  He leaves Pixie (his girl), Dixie, Lucy, and Chewy behind.  They loved traveling to new places and exploring new adventures of the world.

Terry had a larger-than-life attitude and made lasting impressions on everyone fortunate to meet him.  Terry had a sassy mouth and always kept everyone laughing.

He leaves a strong family behind including his wife, Kim of Nichols; two brothers, Kenneth (Kim) of Conroe, TX, and Todd (Becky) of China Springs, TX; sister-in-law, Michele Martinez (Sebastian) of Katy, TX; mother-in-law, Cillicia Romine of Nichols, SC; nephews, Dustin Lasyone (Ashley), Shay Lasyone (Courtney), Kamden Lasyone and Kyle Lasyone; nieces, Breann Lasyone, Kourtlyn Moxley (Darrin), Britney White, and Kayla White; great-nephews, Kenny Lasyone, Scott Lasyone, DJ Lasyone and Parker Hartfield and great-nieces, Gracelyn Lasyone, Skylar Lasyone, Cecelia Lasyone, Cheyenne Hartfield and Emery Krumnow.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clyde and Mary Ann Lasyone and brother Gary Lasyone.

In keeping with his wishes, there are no services planned, however a guestbook is available at www.mearesfh.com for anyone that would like to leave a message of condolence or memory of Terry for the family.

Instead of flowers or gifts, please make donations to the McLeod Foundation HOPE Fund, PO Box 100551, Florence SC 29501.  Terry had been diagnosed with cancer in 2022 but was showing great improvement from the treatments.  During his treatments, he always enjoyed the volunteer who came around with the cart to pass out a bag of bbq potato chips and a Diet Coke.  The HOPE fund provides the cart and supplies for the patients.

Meares Funeral Home of Mullins is honored to serve the family.
