Terry Lane Luther, 71, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home. He was born in Mullins, South Carolina on January 28, 1951, the son of the late Frank and Verona Mae Buffkin Luther.

Terry was a graduate of Palmer Business College in Columbia and on April 15, 1973, he married Karen Elliott Luther. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and had retired from Farm Bureau Insurance.

In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his son, Eric Luther and two brothers, Bill and Larry Luther.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Elliott Luther; a son, Elliott Luther (Amber Storey), all of Statesville; three grandchildren, Ghunner, Lilly and Braydon; his brother, Gene Luther (Sharon) of Blaine, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Terry's life was held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Statesville. An inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
