Nichols- Willie Mae Stroud, 83, died peacefully Tuesday, October, 18, 2011 at Mullins Nursing Center with her children by her side. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Henry S. and Gertie Creel Jordan. Mrs. Stroud was predeceased by her first husband, Sandy Parker Wise, her second husband, David C. Stroud, and one brother, Herman Jordan. She is survived by two sons, Robert Wise and Myron Stroud both of Nichols; three daughters, Wanda G. Wise of Conway, Margaret W. (Jack) Strickland of Mullins, and Faith W. Martin of Marion; two brothers, Henry S. (Lib) Jordan Jr. and Leon C. Jordan both of Conway; two sisters, Eunice (Lloyd) Dunn of Conway and Martha (Billy) Richardson of Florence; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. A message of condolence for the family may be left at mearesfh.com.
