About Us

Meares Funeral Home has been serving Mullins and the surrounding communities since 1941.  Jack Meares opened the funeral home with a simple mission in mind, to provide compassionate, personal service to families at a reasonable cost.

Mr. Meares first served families from a location on Main Street in Mullins after moving from Fair Bluff, North Carolina. In 1972, recognizing the need for additional parking and a more modern, comfortable facility, he built our present location on Highway 76.

Today, Meares Funeral Home remains family-owned and operated, proudly continuing the same values Mr. Meares believed in: professionalism, dignity, compassion, and respect.

For more than 85 years, families have trusted us during some of life's most difficult moments. While traditions have changed over time, our commitment to caring for families has remained the same. We understand that every family is different, and we strive to provide meaningful options that honor each life in a personal way.

From traditional funeral services and cremation options to personalized memorial folders, tribute videos, memory displays, online memorials, and guestbooks, we are here to help families create a service that reflects the life and legacy of their loved one.
